Khat Thuluth 'Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha' ini aku siapkan selepas menunaikan solah Aidil Adha bersama dengan design kad Hari Raya Aidil Adha seperti yang tertera pada posting sebelumnya. Dalam kesempatan ini aku ingin mengucapkan Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha kepada seluruh umat Islam khususnya buat muslimin muslimat di Brunei, Singapura, Malaysia dan Indonesia.

This is my digital greeting card for 'Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha' or 'Fastival of Sacrifice' or locally known as 'Hari Raya Korban' But Hari Raya Korban is celebrated with much less fanfare then the 'Hari Raya Aidil Fitri' or 'Edul Mubarak' which marks the end of Ramadhan. Both Hari Raya Aidil Adha dan Hari Raya Aidil Fitri would begin with mass prayer except that Hari Raya Aidil Adha typically followed with sacrifices of cows and goats then the meats would be distributed to the poor and needy. The festival is celebrated by Muslim all over the world to commemorate the readiness of Prophet Ibrahim 'Alaihisalaam to sacrifice his son Prophet Ismail 'Alaihisalaam as an act of obedience to Allah. Aidil Adha falls on the 10th day of the month of Zulhijjah of the Lunar Islamic calender. The festives normally last for 3 days or more, it much depend on the country. Eid al-Adha occurs the day after the pilgrims conducting Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide, descend from Mount Arafat. It happens to be approximately 70 days after the end of the month of Ramadan.
